Ganzfeld ("all-field" in German), is a Perceptual Psychology term to describe the phenomenon of the total loss of depth perception, as in the experience of a white-out, or one of James Turrell’s many Ganzfeld installations; without differentiation of color, form or boundary it is as though the space is looking back at you. Dhatu, 2009.
